Some peace

Is it bad to find peace in melancholy? A touch of nihilism,  That broken back, those weak knees, Some closeted masochism, Culminating in cheap wine, The kind that leaves you heady Most nights,  I stay up breathing Eyes wide open Dreaming, Taking pleasure in my pain. Is it bad… to find peace In myself? ... - In collaboration with  Archita, wandering reader

Not my dream

A new day tomorrow, you say? A fresh start — forget all that's been? All, no less? For what though?  When it may end the same, Or worse! All assumptive, none a definite course, Here, or there.  Changes irrevocable, unfathomable, A fine day tomorrow — fine indeed,  A delusion, not a dream, Not my dream.

Caught in Limbo

Are you drifting — Between what was,  And where you're headed? Are you fighting, To stay on one thought, Before the next rushes in? Are you trying, Too hard to let go, And stay in the present? Are you spiralling, From blow after blow, Silent, but overwhelmed? Are you peeping  Through the hole, To see how this ends? Are you, are you feeling, Like you're caught in limbo, No anchor, unaware of your strength?

Ifs and Buts

But it's hard to let go

How far in must you be, To see the door  the narrow corridor leads to, Is but an illusion, A ruse to rope you in... So far in,  You can't find your way, Can't turn back, can't walk ahead, The long corridor leads  to a door far beyond reach. If you get too close, The door shall spiral into nothingness, leaving you longing, all by yourself, Your misery, your only companion, In that corridor—dark, dreary, abandoned So, turn back, Don't look for love Where it doesn't exist, Turnaround and walk away Before it's too late...

Conditionality

If you must, hurt me now so I stay away, Bring out your worst, don't spare me the pain, Let your dark side find me alone, Let your vice shadow over all I adore, For only then it is that I can begin to fix, All that you feel is wrong... If you must, free the beast, so I can slay it's core, Bring out your worst, don't hold back now, Show me all you're capable of, So I can prove to you, and to the world, You're all but the beast you think you are, You're home to me, this is where you belong.

The Ballad of Maddish

Of strangers filling voids Created by the ones most trusted, Some brought forth as lives entwined - Into the darkness, into the light, A bond forged, inhibitions set aside, Unbound by blood, guided by love - Madness personified! Of this stronger love filling voids Till there weren't any left, They set off, towards the woods, Into the deepest end, where the sun never set, The light never dimmed, Cautiously they'd chosen - Knowing the light here came from within.
